Electronically Crossed Near field reference monitors capable of 9db more output than last years passive model. The new tunable crossover allows for complete control over the operating range. The enclosure is constructed of MDF using a tapered transmission line. The drivers are set in a closely coupled, linear phase( no more than 15 degrees shift at crossover point), mirror image group radiating forward. Driver array integrates a Morel MDT33 tweeter crossed at 6500hz with a DynAudio D54AF midrange electronically crossed at 1450hz to the low frequency driver, an AUDIGO LFM811.

All measurements are referenced to 100db at 1 meter on axis. FR 39hz to 20khz +_ 2.0db. Maximum SPL 120db. HD (3rd 5th and 7th order) >2% 39hz to 20khz . Impedance >LF = 2 ohms HF= 6 ohms. Phase +_ 75 degrees 39hz to 20khz. Power requirements’, 250 watt’s minimum to 1000 watt’s maximum per channel x two (Must be Bi-Amplified). Dimensions 11.9"Hx15.9"Wx13.3"D. Weight 60lbs each. Finish is heavy duty "UltraSuede" for maximum durability in black or gray.

Measurement environment:
  • Position - Speakers are 1 meter from ceiling 1.2meter from floor, 1.5meter from side walls , .8meters from rear wall and 6feet apart.
  • Room information - 16 ft wide (speaker side) 23ft long with a 8ft ceiling, concrete walls and floor with suspened ceiling.
Test Equipment/Settings:
  • TEF20 with version 2.1b software using B&K 4007 microphone 1 meter from source
  • ETC Receive Delay is captured at 1 meter 95db reference at first peak. The resulting receive delay (obtained from this first peak) was applied to the TDS measurement.
